For example use the following CSS rule:

.ux-menu LI.ux-menu-item101>A
{
text-indent: -999em;
background-image: url(/templates/dd_sosassy_19/images/footerfacebookicon.png) !important;
background-repeat: no-repeat !important;
width: 30px;
}
