TOPIC: Mainmenu item behaviour on mobile devices

When you tap a menu item on a mobile device the sub-items appear as expected. When you tap on the same item again, the menu closes instead. I don't find this behaviour intuitive; I would expect it to have the same behaviour as a "click" on the desktop PC.

Because of this issue there is no way to navigate to the page the main menu item links to.

Any ideas how to make it work like I want it to?

Hello,

Use double-click (with a little delay between clicks) on mobile devices to load link which is used for a parent menu item.

That's what I'm looking for, but that doesn't work for me. I'm using an iPad 2 and HTC Desire HD.

Edit: after updating to 2.2.6 and fixing some styling issues introduced with the upgrade, it works as expected. Sorry for taking your time on something that I could've figured out myself.

It works fine for us. Use a little delay (about 30 milliseconds) between each click in double-click.
