Hi,

after clicking the link it still shows the article underneath the easy slider.

Let me explain the end goal: Easy slider needs to show some articles of a particular category (that's done). It has to show a image on the left en text on the right (can do that to within the article).
The best thing would be that if I add a 'read more' in the article, it would show in the article display of the easy slider. The read more link should load a new page containing only the article.

Is this possible?

No of course it should show the article within the template like this one for example: www.leidenamateurvoetbal.nl/nieuws-oegstgeest-voetbal/120-interviews-oegstgeest-voetbalvereniging/1872-nonhebel-tijd-om-weer-eens-wat-te-laten-zienq

You can specify on what pages you want to show the module with help of parameters from "Menu Assignment" section on module settings page. This is common parameters section for all Joomla! modules.
