There would be only two colors. One red, meaning that the amount has been paid, and the normal (or any) color of the cell, stating that we are holding that amount.
This would be a simpler verrsion of the table above.

Is it possible to detect somehow by cell values what color should be used?

Hi,

no.. there would be no way to know know the value.
A customer can request payment at any time or amount.

CSV format doesn't support ability to mark cells with color. It is a simple format which is used to store only data. You can use the solution which we described before or add a new column to CSV file which will be used to set status of payments and set cell color based on value of this column.
