Yes the Plugin description does indeed state:

ARI Data Tables plugin helps load ARI Data Tables module in Joomla! articles. Type the following code in article for loading ARI Data Tables module:

{aridatatables moduleId="<moduleId>"}

Where <moduleId> is ARI Data Tables module id. You can find module id if open 'Extensions->Module Manager' page in modules grid in ID column or on module settings page in ID field.

But it still fails to work unless you add {/aridatatables} after it in an article.

Note too for others, if copying the text, paste into a plain text editor and then copy again and paste into the article as sometimes background styling can be captured by the copy and will upset the code.

Now have it working after reading this article.

Hello,

An unnecessary code can be added if use copy-paste in design mode of a WYSIWYG editor. This problem with WYSIWYG editors.

One other point, when using some editors like JCE it will change the < and > to codes, just remove them and place the module number between quotes like

{aridatatables moduleId="170"}{/aridatatables}

This works
